The "Employment" screen is can be accessed via My Employee on the left menu, by selecting the respective employee's profile. Only the admin has rights to add or edit Employment Term details of the employee. 

Important Fields / Logic

(i) Designation – Designation of the Employee is mandatory.

(ii) Manager – The employee has to be assigned to his/her respective manager in the system. The employee will then get automatically slotted in the Organization structure under the respective direct reporting manager. The manager definition is important for workflow-related processes, such as approving leave and claims.

(iii) Work location - If a work location is selected for an employee, this information would then be reflected in the respective dashboard widget.

(iv) Department - If a department is selected for an employee, this information would then be reflected in the respective dashboard widget.

(v) Joining Date – Joining Date of an employee is important for any workflow and widgets related to it, such as the display of the Work Anniversary on the Calendar widget, and the probation end date which depends on the joining date. 

(vi) Probation Period – Probation period is needed to determine the probation end date or confirmation process. It is important to any workflow related to it. 

(vii) Employment End Date – Employment end date is important for the system to identify from when the employee would be inactive in the system. It is important for any workflow related to it. 

(viii) Payment method – Payment method of an employee's salary is reflected here. The method of payment gets printed on the employee’s payslip.

(ix) Is Key Contact – Mark this checkbox if the employee is a Key Contact for a particular function or department. If selected as Key Contact, the employee would then be displayed at the start of the directory list with a “Key Contact” tag. Description for a key contact is required to be entered into the “For” field.

(x) Key contact for (short description) – If the employee is defined as a Key Contact then a short description of the particular function or department, for which the employee is a Key Contact has to be entered in this field.

(xi) Directory settings – This field is used to define the rights of the employee, when there are subsidiaries. This field is important when an employee account is given permission as an Admin. If this field is not defined then the Directory setting of the company takes effect.
